Ms. Rachel began her career in early childhood education and later taught secondary art before returning to ECE, where she finds the most joy. She has worked in daycares, preschools, and Montessori schools and specializes in the Reggio Emilia approach. Her interest in combining art education with the Reggio philosophy grew after she received a scholarship and research grant through her Wayne State program to visit Reggio Emilia, Italy. An artist herself, Ms. Rachel enjoys printmaking and grew up visiting the art department at Grosse Pointe North during "bring your daughter to work" days with her art-teacher father.
No lesson, just expression! A recipe for the most pure and creative work from kids.
